Ashley holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master of Healthcare Administration with a management concentration from Western Carolina University. As a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, she has worked in the community health and food security space since 2013, spanning western North Carolina and the upstate of South Carolina.

At Wholespire, Ashley leads the Active Transportation and Community Mobility initiative, a priority of Healthy Palmetto in which Wholespire serves as the lead organization. In this role, she works closely with communities to improve walkability and bikeability, ensuring they are equipped for meaningful change. She also collaborates with the South Carolina Department of Public Health to assess and support community readiness.

She is deeply invested in community nutrition, reducing health disparities, and promoting trauma-informed nutrition. Ashley is actively involved in local efforts to improve access to all components of health and wellness, serving on the Oconee County Food Council and as Chair for Sustainability for the YWCA of Asheville.

Beyond her professional work, Ashley is a passionate and competitive runner, an avid gardener, and a devoted mother who enjoys live music with her two children.
