Wholespire is accepting nominations to serve on the Board of Directors with terms beginning January 1, 2023, and lasting three years. The board of directors is responsible for the overall policy and direction of Wholespire and delegates responsibility for day-to-day operations to the executive director.
The most important qualities sought are a passion for the mission, leadership, and an ability and willingness to work. Board of Directors serve for different reasons, but at the core of service is a commitment to making a difference.
We seek leaders who support and live out the four tenets of our approach as defined in the strategic plan:
- We promote healthy eating and active living as key components of public health.
- We inform, engage, and influence decision-makers to include health in policy decisions.
- We provide support at the local level for communities to achieve healthy change.
- We champion equity.
Wholespire values perspectives on public health and equity that result in transforming communities. Having a broad range of professional expertise, personal experience, and diverse representation demographically and geographically helps Wholespire reach its mission-specific goals.
