Summer Break Cafe
This webinar showcases how communities and schools can work together to support nutrition security in the summer months. Many South Carolina organizations are providing free healthy meals to children during the summer months through the SC Department of Education’s Summer Break Café, formerly the Summer Food Service Program. Our panelists will share general information about the Summer Break Café program and how schools and communities are working together to implement it.
York County Takes Action
This webinar showcases how Wholespire York County and the York County school districts have worked together to support student health. Panelists share how to work with District Coordinated School Health Advisory Councils and School Improvement Councils to support healthy eating and active living through Safe Routes to School and 5-2-1-0 initiatives.
Connecting Schools and Communities
Hosted by Wholespire and the South Carolina Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, this webinar is designed to enhance collaboration between schools and communities using the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model as a framework. School and community stakeholders (administrators, teachers, nurses, food service, coalition members, organizations, etc.) are encouraged to attend.
Tools for Telling Your Coalition’s Story
Have you ever struggled to explain what your coalition has been able to accomplish and why it matters? Once you’ve implemented a project or strategy, how do you show its impact? Evaluation can be intimidating to think about, but in its most simplified form, evaluation answers these exact questions. In Tools for Telling Your Coalition’s Story, participants will learn about strategies and tools that coalitions can use to measure their own capacity and the impact their work has on the community.
